Post Receiving the Much Needed Facelift Mahindra Thar to Encounter the New Force Gurkha



The all new upgraded edition of Mahindra Thar is all set to debut in the Indian market that was earlier launched in the international auto markets of South Africa and Europe. Mahindra Thar is being much anticipated in the Indian market as it serves as an immensely desirable vehicle and also one of the cars that Mahindra promised to deliver for India

As a matter of fact, Mahindra Thar is also the first BS IV CRDe diesel powered engine vehicle of India that in the current year will be made available in an array of color options that ranges from Diamond White, Rocky Beige, Mist Silver, Fiery Black and Toreador Red. Apart from that, Mahindra Thar is expected to encounter the much famed off-road vehicle of Gurkha that will be introduced by the Force Motors.
The official name of Gurkha is being boasted as Force Gurkha EOV 4x4x4 that literally translates into extreme off-road vehicle and the three 4s stand as an abbreviation for a vehicle that has four-wheel drive, a vehicle that can take on four kinds of terrain in four different seasons.

Mahindra Thar comparatively offers a much better look when compared to its competitors like that the interiors and exteriors of Force Gurkha EOV. The old-fashioned yet sturdy looks of the Mahindra Thar is further enhanced by the traditional grille and the typical circular headlights. Apart from that, Mahindra Thar also exhibits a bold jaw shaped front and the overall appearance of the vehicle is enhanced by the edgy rectangular front glass along with the broad tyres.

Mahindra Thar does not look impressive on the interiors as much as it looks in appearance in terms of exteriors. Performance-wise, Mahindra Thar will be made available in three variants of DI 4X2 BS3, DI 4X4 BS3 and CRDe 4X4. The CRDe variant of Thar will be seen exhibiting a 2.5L engine that will generate a peak power of 105 bhp at the rate of 3800 rpm along with a peak torque of 247 Nm at the rate of 1800 to 2000 rpm. As far as performance is concerned, Mahindra Thar can also be one of the best fuel efficient cars in India for the year 2013. Apart from that, Mahindra Thar will also be made available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations out of which, the 2WD will be paired to a five-speed manual transmission.

On the contrary, the 2596cc turbo-charged and inter-cooled directly injected diesel powered engine of Force Gurkha EOV is derived from the Mercedes-Benz OM616. This powerful engine is expected to generate a peak power of 81 bhp and a peak torque of 230 Nm when paired to five-speed G18 gearbox also inspired from Mercedes-Benz.

Other than that, the two-tone dashboard of Force Gurkha EOV appears to be simple and clear-cut that comprises of the dials including a speedo, temperature and fuel gauge along with a tiny rev-counter installed under the AC vents. 

Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha offer a lot in terms of drivability and overall performance and are also expected to be well suited to the Indian standards as well as the taste of the car buyers in the Indian market.
